RAS Portrait Course week 10

Week 10, the final week of the term at the Royal Art Society in North Sydney. It's been a new experience for me, and I now have a better idea of how to approach this, and I have been invited to run a course for the next term.

Body and Soul Exhibition

This weekend is the  Life Drawing & Painting Exhibition of the Blue Mountains Creative Arts Centre in Glenbrook held annually at the Glenbrook Theatre Hall.

RAS Portrait Course week 9

As well as our usual quick sketches we were discussing tonal variety and colours in portrait painting this week.

Hawkesbury Art Fair

The 2019 Hawkesbury Art Fair had its opening this evening at the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery, deputy Mayor Mary Lyon Buckett officiated.The Exhibition consists of artworks from local art groups and organizations. I have 7 paintings on display as part of the Piggery Lane Studios. The Art Fair will run until October 13th and all artworks are for sale.

Emma was the new sitter this week, and we are continuing with the format of quick drawings and then the longer pose
